Team Cyclelogic Win Team Prize Again!
A great race for the guys as they took the overall win with Gary Chambers, 30 seconds ahead of Paul Friday who was one second ahead of Gary Fouracres. Cycle Logic also won the team prize for the second race in a row! With sterling efforts from Chris Lobb, Stuart Pickering , Graham Lobb and Andy Ellis. Some top riders took part in the race which makes these results even better!
Also worthy of mention is the fact that the first three riders are all on Cervelo.

Penzance Wheelers Open 19 miles TT S45/19S 30/04/09
The third Cornish Cup event of the season had seen a very wet start to the day but the roads dried out for the race. Team Cyclelogic won the team prize with great rides from all the team! Chris Lobb continued his recent good from and won this race very convincingly, by almost a clear two minutes! He has really tightened his grip on the Cornish Cup now! Also a great ride from his Dad, Graham you took a superb third on the night! Matt and Jeff also had fine rides to round off a great event for the team!

Team Tor 2000 Circuit Series Event 1. 30/04/09
While the rest of the team rode the time trial Gary and Andy travelled up to Ilton to ride a circuit race. Gary now a 2nd cat rode the E/1/2 race. After being in several early moves Gary missed the break that stuck which contained 9 riders. However on the last lap Gary attacked hard, realising that he had 20 yards on the field he put his head down a struck for home, holding the field off until the line to finish 10th and pick up some more good points.
Andy rode in the 3rd category race. He tried several times to get off the front and got into several promising breaks but this race was destined to be a sprint finish. However Andy didn’t fancy this so tried a long attack for home only to be caught just 500m from the line! There was a big crash in the pack coming into the sprint so Andy was chuffed to have missed this!!

Portreath Crit 25/04/09
An extremely windy and wet afternoon made for some very hard racing. Gary, Andy and Stuart rode in the elite race, whilst Chris rode in the 3/4 race.
Two riders escaped early on so Gary went on the attack to try and bring the riders back, in doing so he took with him James Smith (Somerset RC) a Mid Devon CC rider and Chris. They didn’t manage to bring back the leading two riders but worked well together and stayed away from the main field. Chris was the only rider from the 3/4 race in the group which meant he was far and away the winner of his race, a great result for Chris who was very happy with this result. Considering he came off his bike hard and carried on for the win makes it an even more impressive result! Gary was just pipped to the line by the other two elite riders in the group after doing a lot of work on the front in the closing laps so finished 5th in the elite race which earned him a good amount of points. He is now chasing his 1st cat licence!

Excellent early season weather with some sunshine, not much wind, and a nip in the air to make sure you rode fast to keep warm. It was good to see a record field of 39 riders taking starters orders.
Team cyclelogic took a great one two, on the night with good rides from Gary Chambers and Graham Lobb, proving the strength of the team this year.

Tom Hawkins Road Race 5/4/09
Gary was the only cycle logic rider to make the trip up to Devon for this 50mile 2nd, 3rd and 4th category road race as the rest of the team were racing at the Lizard. A very strong field full of second category riders were at the start line, and the sun had just come out. The first real attacks soon came on the first big climb of the day and as they went over the top a group of 12 riders got away, Gary managed to get himself in this group. The group worked well together for the next 40miles to stay out from the peleton, and by the finish had built a lead of over 5 minutes. The finish line was at the top of the same climb where the race had spilt and Gary climbed well to finish a great 4th place.

Team Results to Date
Team Cycle Logic are on fire at the moment - Fantastic set of results in the early season races
Springtime Pursuit 1 14/2/09:
Gary and Chris made the journey up to Exeter for the opening road race of the South West calendar. It wasn’t to be Gary’s day as he suffered a rear wheel puncture just after the first lap which was the end of his race. Meanwhile Chris was working hard in his group putting in long turns on the front to try and stay away from the scratch group. The scratch group caught them on the final lap, and although Chris was tired from all the work he had put in he still managed a top 15 place at the finish.
Springtime Pursuit 3 28/2/09:
Gary and Chris entered the final pursuit and after the second pursuit was cancelled due to a bad crash half way through the race, everyone just wanted to finish today. Gary’s group had been joined by the scratch group after the first lap and were working very well together trying to shut the 12 minute gap down that the first groups on the road had started with. The race came together on the final lap and it was down to the finishing hill to decide who had the legs. Gary was in a small lead group at the top of the climb, but with 200m to go he was involved in a crash and went down hard ending his day. Chris worked hard up the hill and finished a great 8th, beating some good opposition to pick up his first points of the season.
St Austell Wheelers - Sporting Open 20 miles TT S6/18S 1/03/09:
Team cycle logic had a strong team of Chris Lobb, Gary Chambers, Andy Ellis and Jeff Houghton entered today in the first Cornish cup event of the year. However Gary’s bad luck continued and he didn’t make the start line due to technical problems with his bike. Chris had a storming ride to finish 3rd. considering he had heavy legs from yesterday’s pursuit this was a great ride. Andy and Jeff also rode well finishing 6th and 9th.
CS Dynamo 2up TT 8/03/09:
Gary and Chris represented team cycle logic in this 2 man time trial held in Devon. They did an excellent ride, finishing as 3rd team. All of the South West’s best time triallists were on the start sheet today, with almost 50 teams entered, making this an excellent result for the team!

Somerset RC Criterium 14/03/09:
Gary, Chris and Andy travelled up to Ilton. The sun was out, but the wind was very strong, with a block head wind on one part of the course. Gary rode strong and finished 5th today after being involved in a couple of different attacks off of the front during the race. Chris and Andy also rode well finishing safely in the pack.
Pittards Trophy Road Race. 29/03/09:
Team cycle logic entered a very strong team in today’s road race held in Yeovil. The team was Stuart Pickering, Andy Ellis, Jason Pascoe, Chris Lobb and Gary Chambers. A big field of 80 riders started the race in blue skies and sunshine. There were several crashes during the race and the team did well to avoid them. As the last lap of the course approached the whole field was still together, Chris decided it was time to have a go. He attacked off the front taking one other rider with him. They built up a good lead and were looking like they may stay away. Unfortunately they were caught with only a couple of miles to go, but this was a great effort by Chris. So the race came down to a sprint finish, Gary managed to position himself perfectly going into the final turn and sprinted strongly to finish a very good 2nd place.

New Web Site
Hard to believe that we have been at the new shop for nearly two years now - almost ten months since I last post on this blog - totally not the intention but an indication of how busy we have been.
So what's new? First thing is that we are about to launch a new web site, our current site is four years and the cracks are beginning to show - it was fresh when it was new and had some funky elements to it that we thought we wanted but now it's showing it's age and is about to be replaced. We are aiming for the beginning of April and in preparation have switched off the online shop element.
Cervelo seem to be the bike of the moment - stunning design and a design philosophy that sets them apart. P2's are incredible value for any discerning Triathlete or Time Trialler.
We have replaced our Litespeed and Merlin offering with product from SEVEN - Totally bespoke custom made titanium frames from the masters of this amazing metal.
I will try to update this blog a bit more often now -
