RANDOM MARKETING CALLS - DEAD LOSS

You just can't imagine the number of cold calls that we get from various companies during the course of a day - the last one was really daft - A guy rings up and asked for me like I'm his best friend.

"Did you get the pen that we sent you?"

'Pen ? - what pen?'

"We sent you a pen with your name on it" The girls had made use of it at home.

'We don't have a massive need for promotional pens, we are a bike shop' I said.

"We do cycling specific promotional items as well" he said

"And Funeral trade specific stuff!!!!"   - Where the hell did that come from?

I was tempted to ask him for a corpse on a bike all branded up but thought better of it.
