CERVELO TO GO

Here a couple of custom built Cervelo's that we have put together for customers this week - the 2007 and 2008 Hawaii Ironman winning bike the P2. We reckon that value for money this aero frame takes some beating and for 2010 not only does it go well but it looks like a million $ as well. This particular example has been built with a full Ultegra group and the new SRAM S80 carbon clincher wheels. Retailing at £1200 a pair. The bars are worth a look as well, they are the new ITM Pro Mistrals. Carbon base bar with alloy extensions for just £249. That's almost half the price of anything that's remotely close.   Stunning time trial and triathlon bike.

Not the best pictures but you can get the idea - this bike screams fast.

The more eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that we have not yet cut the steerer tube down. Cervelo have an alloy insert that bonds into the carbon steerer tube allowing for the use of a star fangled nut instead of the 'expander type' fittings. There have been widespread industry recalls regarding carbon forks and expander bolts recently due to the opposing forces at the stem clamping area. Might be worth checking it out for signs of stress.  Anyway, the steerer tube can't be cut until the bike is sized.

This is a S1 that we have built, again with the new Ultegra group that is proving to be a very popular choice, carbon blades and concealed cables all very fitting with the Jekyll and Hyde nature of the Cervelo S1. A true aero road bike well suited to our Triathlons with it's versatile design concept. Don't be fooled by the alloy frame this bike wins races at all levels and with a price tag of £1000 for the frame it offers very good value for money.
