Quick Update

May seemed to come and go in a heat hazed blur - decent weather and plenty of bank holidays have seen lots of folks out on their bikes.  This has resulted in very healthy sales across our range of Road / Mountain / Commuters / kiddies and even unicycles!!. 

Finally Cornwall Council have seen to it to use CycleScheme.co.uk as their preferred 'Cycle To Work' partner. This means that most if not all independant local bike shops at least get the opportunity to offer bikes to the Council's employee's under the Government's 'Cycle to work Scheme'.  This has to be a fairer option both for the Council's employees and the small local business that were actively excluded from accessing the business under the old regime. Fair play to County for sorting it out.

Our road bike sales have always been a significant proportion of our business and with the Giant TCR Advanced getting the Road Bike of The  Year award from Cycling Plus we are noticing more and more people asking for TCR and Defy than ever before. Denis Menchov winning the Giro d'Italia on his TCR Advanced SL for Rabobank won't do any harm either.

Great to see Cervelo take the final stage victory as well giving them four stage wins in the event.
